Tranquil Information Sheet

 

Tranquil is based on valeriana officinalis, one of approximately 200 species of valerian worldwide.

The first references to valerian go back many centuries, but it wasn't until the 18^th century that it had been firmly established as a treatment for nervous disorders and as a general calmer.

Providing the problem is the brain of the horse, use Tranquil as a natural calmer where excessive high spirits and specific unmanageable conditions can lead to control problems or when schooling and discipline alone are not enough due to stress, anxiety or fears.

Tranquil is most often used for specific events and experiences, i.e. loading and shipping, stall rest, post-operative recovery days, farrier or dentistry work, training challenges, severe weather conditions, anxiety in unfamiliar settings, etc. It is also used for a daily calmer for chronically nervous conditions.

Tranquil does not make horses weak or uncoordinated; it does not take off their competitive edge. It simply reduces their reactions to stressful situations. In training horses are better able to maintain their focus with Tranquil E, and have no negative side effects.
